General Description

 

CJSC "Informtekhnika I Svyaz", using the gained experience on creating communication systems using digital technology and continuing the tradition of innovation in the field, has developed and further develops the system of professional trunking radio communication of TETRA standard - "MiniCom-TETRA". When creating infrastructure equipment the specialists of the company were guided by TETRA standard, developed by ETSI, and took into account the specific requirements of Russian customers.

 

"MiniCom-TETRA" equipment provides:

 

·         output to an external telephone network;

·         creation of linearly extended and cellular systems;

·         use of mobile terminals from any manufacturer;

·         inclusion specific session organization algorithms in the system with the specific features of the control system of particular customer;

·         equipment monitoring up to one module;

·         monitoring of events up to within one protocol command between a mobile subscriber and the system;

·         redundancy of all critical components to improve system reliability;

·         Air Interface Encryption.

 

When organizing mobile radio communication at railway stations, "MiniCom-TETRA" solves a number of organization problems for:

 

·         Radio channels of station and mobile radio and phone communications and data transfer, including train radio communication - TDO, SO;

·         SO station radio communication;

·         Repair and operative radio on stages and stations;

·         Radio channels for the data transmission of the railway automation systems between on-board equipment of locomotives and stationary component.

 

Digital process radio communication system, built on the platform "MiniCom-TETRA", provides:

 

·         group call from SO of shunting locomotive drivers and producers within the maneuvering area with one touch;

·         group call from SO of various services groups (including subscribers of mobile, portable vehicle and locomotive radio stations) at the station and adjacent to the block stations (by type of service) with one touch;

·         individual call from TDO of train driver on train number within controller site;

·         individual call from SO of train deriver of shunting locomotive on locomotive number;

·         radio communication of attendants and dispatchers with providing access to the group dispatch communication channels;

·         ensuring calls on conditional number of train, locomotive, car;

·         organizing calls of train driver of counter and following trains;

·         organizing calls of attendant to "its" (within the zone of responsibility of the attendant) train drivers;

·         organizing calls of train drivers of "their" attendant;

·         emergency call of TDO from a train driver. At the same time, emergency call has the highest priority;

·         in the case of busy of all available radio channels while entering the emergency call,  one of the established connections of subscribers with lower priorities is interrupted;

·         connection to the established "brigade-service manager" connection of other controllers, including TDO, including listening or not listening.

 

In this case, the Russian origin of the development ensures information security as in departmental and federal mobile networks.

 "MiniCom-TETRA" includes the following components:

 

1. Switching stations "MiniCom-KSR".

2. Base Station Subsystems "MiniCom-PBS", which include:

 

·         base station controllers "MiniCom-KBS";

·         base stations "MiniCom-BSR";

·         maintenance terminals.

 

3. Dispatching stations.

As part of "MiniCom-TETRA", mobile terminals from different manufacturers can operate: Sepura, Motorola, Nokia, etc.

 

"MiniCom-TETRA" equipment retains its functionality during and after earthquake with intensity up to SSE (7 points on MSK-64 scale), inclusive.

 

Switching Station

 

Switching Station (SS) is used for the organization of interaction of radio base stations and intersystem call switching between different areas of TETRA radio service, as well as calls to subscribers of the public telephone network, departmental telephone networks and other radio networks. The main node of switching station is a base station controller "MiniCom-KBS".

 

The base station controller provides 100 percent hot backup of devices used in the trunk component.

 

The base station controller "MiniCom-KBS" provides the following functions:

 

·         authentication of subscriber equipment;

·         connection for the voice transmission in a double-call, group call, broadcast call;

·         connection for voice transmission between the controller station and subscriber stations;

·         continuity of radio communication in movement of mobile subscribers in the coverage area of ​​base stations;

·         support for maintenance system and operation of mobile radio systems.

 

The base station controller may include additional devices that provide:

 

·         connections for voice transmission between subscriber stations and telephone communication networks;

·         tone extension dialing (DTMF) from subscriber radio stations in connecting with the user (terminal) equipment of telephone networks.

 

When equipped with additional devices the switching station "MiniCom-KSR" can provide network encryption on the Russian algorithms and LESS operation.

 

Switching Station "MiniCom-KSR" offers the following additional services:

 

·         identification of the calling subscriber;

·         identification of the called subscriber;

·         limitation on the identification information;

·         notification of the call for a subscriber who at the time of the call is busy, does not answer or is not available;

·         identification of a subscriber transmitting in a group call;

Base station "MiniCom-BSR" (BS) provides subscribers of mobile radio communication with the possibility of information exchange among themselves and with subscribers of other networks using network infrastructure.

Maintenance terminal

 

Maintenance terminal (MT) is an element of a mobile radio communication system and is a hardware and software system designed to perform the functions of monitoring, configuration, administration and management of STRS and information exchange with the subscribers of the network.

 

MT "MiniCom-TTO" allows the operator to perform the following functions of network management of mobile radio:

 

·         create, edit, delete, view data about subscribers and STRS subscriber equipment;

·         lock (unlock) of subscriber radio stations;

·         setting of the level of subscriber radio station authentication;

·         limitation of the duration of individual and group calls for subscriber STRS;

·         dedication of subscribers for special zones using classes of service;

·         provision and cancellation of value added services (VAS) for STRS subscribers;

·         view, edit, and output of value of accounting calls for subscriber or group of subscribers;

·         creating dynamic reports.

 

MT "MiniCom-TTO" allows the operator to perform the following functions of equipment control CPS STRS:

 

·         monitoring of the current state of STRS elements;

·         view the event logs for a given period;

·         configuration of processing parameters of diagnostic messages;

·         creating dynamic reports on diagnostic messages;

·         management of unit reset to prevent the effects of faults.

 

MT "MiniCom-TTO" allows the operator to perform the following functions of configuration management of network equipment:

 

·         input, change and delete of configuration tables data of equipment;

·         software downloading management in BSR and CSR modules;

·         management of upload of monitoring messages of the equipment protocols;

·         restart of the software of BSR and CSR modules.

 

MT "MiniCom-TTO" provides the following functions of the administrative management of information security:

 

·         protecting access to the system by means of passwords;

·         support at least two categories of users (administrators and users) that have different access rights to the system of administrative management;

·         management of real-time system clock that provides control and install the real-time system clock.

 

MT "MiniCom-TTO" allows the operator to perform the following functions of communication system dispatcher:

 

·         maintaining individual duplex communication with STRS subscribers;

·         maintaining individual simplex communication with STRS subscribers;

·         maintaining group communication with STRS subscribers;

·         transmission of status and SDS-messages to one or group of persons;

·         data transmission with channel switching at 2.4, 4.8, 7.2 Kbps;

·         covert listening of group communication;

MT "MiniCom-TTO" has a modification based on 19" computer, which can be mounted in a 19" rack. This model is called built-in maintenance terminal "MiniCom-TTO" (BMT).

 

If it is necessary to create a few controller workstations, a maintenance terminal with a reduced set of software is supplied that allows to perform only the functions of communication system controller. Such a terminal is called the controller station. Controller station is connected to a switching station via Ethernet. As part of the controller station, a display with touch screen (Touchscreen) can be supplied.
